![]() ![]() Opulent interiors drip with excess, such as the lobby area sprouting trees from colorful flowerbeds, some dotted with peacock-shaped lighting fixtures with illuminated plumes of feathers. Much of the hotel, including its casino and pools, feels like a carbon copy to the Wynn, but that isn't a bad thing. Encore, however, feels a tad quieter and less hectic than the Wynn - except for the Encore Beach Club, which draws hundreds of people on a daily basis. Opened in December 2008 by famed Las Vegas developer Steve Wynn, the 2,034-room Encore At Wynn Las Vegas takes the whim and luxury of its next-door sister, the Wynn Las Vegas (opened in 2005), and steps it up a notch with even bigger rooms and a more attractive spa and fitness center. The Italian-inspired Venetian is a family-friendly alternative with lower rates, gondola rides, and faster access to the southern end of the Strip. It all comes at a price though - rates are high, as are food and drink at any of the venues, plus there are daily resort fees added (typical for Vegas). There are a luxe casino and adjacent golf course as well. Two nightclubs regularly host top DJs, while shows at the Encore Theater are also popular. The giant suites are some of the biggest on the Strip (starting at 745 square feet!) and one-up even the Wynn's (Encore's next-door sister), plus they're decked out with modern amenities and luxurious marble bathrooms with soaking tubs and separate showers. So my first time impression overall was i hope artists i want to see play one of the other theaters in town.Opened in December 2008, the 2,034-room Encore At Wynn Las Vegas is a luxury property on The Strip that’s all about pure opulence, from its impressive interiors to its decadent spa to the array of restaurants, gaming tables, and several attractive pools - including a European-style pool with topless sunbathing. This was observation since i didn't actually order any of the drink items. Theatre itself looked nice overall but seating is tight and i will say cup holders would be nice, since they serve over priced drinks with no lids. ![]() despite them being a bit slow at entrance here. Plus, it's not that easy to find the Encore Theater in the Wynn and once i did the Awakening show there takes up much more of the visual space and it's easy to walk right by the Encore. but was long walk in a hurry to make it over to the Wynn in time from there. However, there were no parking spaces at the Wynn, eventually found a parking space at the Palazzo across the street though that wasn't easy either, at least they also didn't charge. again the show itself was awesome and amazing. This was for an excellent performance by John Mellencamp in last November. but on a busy night and that seems to be every night these days in Las Vegas that can mean no parking is available. Moving one by 30 minutes would make so much sense.ĭifficult theatre to go to. Oh, and the Encore Theatre is at Wynn, and has their cirque show at the very same time, meaning lines and people everywhere. The price was the same as Caesars, who has such a better concert venue. The sound was great, and the seats go back in a pie shape. It is a huge seating area but the far side seats give a 35% view, although you are never told they were obstructed view seats. The only 1 bathroom was in the entry hall, for the entire theatre. They were tapped out of Bud Light when we got there, and no one knew how to change out the kegs so they ended up finding bottles of beer someplace and were handing out bottles of beer in place of draft. During our 20 minutes in line at the main bar, 4 draft kegs went empty (where was the beverage manager who allowed this and all the burnt popcorn to happen?) and 2 more bartenders joined the line. Then only 2 of the bars were open (again, a sold out John Fogerty concert.this audience drinks!) and at the main bar, there was one bartender working, one ditzy woman playing with the two popcorn makers trying to figure out how to make popcorn (2 beers and a popcorn $45) and a manager walking around telling people they should go in the hallway as they were going to open up two more pop up bars. People were sent back to the box office to discuss the tickets, phones were adjusted for brightness or to make the bar codes took forever to even get into the theatre. There were three very slow people scanning tickets, and the scanners did not seem to work right. People were lined up to get in when doors opened at 7 for a sold out show. While the 85 minute concert by John Fogerty was great, and he is a legend, the theatre experience left much to be desired.
